Plug the Ethernet cable from the RAVENNA device / network switch on a standard Network Adapter on your computer.
(RAVENNA network should not be mixed with other network types. Merging recommends to use a separate adapter)Note icon false The MassCore NIC (NET-MSC-GBEX1) is not working with ASIO, it is only compatible with MassCore.
Configure the adapter IP address according to your RAVENNA network
Expand title On a Windows 7 Computer Click on the network icon in right corner of Windows Taskbar
and select Open Network and Sharing Center
In Network and Sharing Center, click on Change adapter settings, on the left part of this page.
Now right click on your Network adapter and select Properties.
If you have several network adapters, make sure you select the one connected to MERGING+NADAC.
Make sure Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) is ticked, select it and click on Properties.
In this Properties page, set it to "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS Server address automatically".
Click on OK and Close to validate those settings.
Now you need to restart the computer for changes to apply.Expand title On a Windows 10 Computer Click on the network icon in right corner of Windows Taskbar

Go in the Merging RAVENNA ASIO Panel.
A: Select the network adapter for RAVENNA - its IP address should be displayed.
Changing the IP address while this panel is open will not be reflected directly in the UI, you need to wait or close and re-open this panel.
B: Set the ASIO buffer size. 256 samples is usually a stable value for all available sampling rates.
C: Select the latency for your network, 64 samples for RAVENNA, 48 samples for AES67 (V11 or above required for AES67 compatibility)
D: Set the required number of inputs and outputs. All ASIO channels will use some bandwidth even if not connected to your RAVENNA device (don't set 128 inputs if you only need 8).
Remember also that the number of inputs and outputs is sampling rate dependent.- Go in VS3 Control Panel and select Platform : Native ASIO / Driver name : Merging Ravenna ASIO driver.
Merging recommends you set the "Top most priority" checkbox for enhanced performances. - Click OK to close VS3 Control Panel
- Start Pyramix / Ovation.
In case of issues, please consult the RAVENNA ASIO Troubleshooting page.
