How to connect devices

Select the required devices in the Devices (or World) view. This will populate the Matrix, allowing you to connect the required IOs on the selected devices.
As in the previous version of Aneman, when hovering a connection point, the info box lights green if the connection can be made, if it lights orange, the connection cannot be made.
Click on the required connection points to prepare the connection (connection points will turn green).
Then click on Connect Multicast / Connect Unicast (for unicast capable devices only) to establish the connection.

How to remove a connection

Select the required devices in the Devices or World view. This will populate the Matrix, allowing you to disconnect the required IOs on the selected devices.
Click on the required connection points to prepare the disconnection (connection points will turn red).
Then click on Remove Connection.

How to create and configure a Zone

  • In the Devices View, click on the Folder icon on top CreateNewZone.png .

  • You can add device(s) in the zone by dragging them on the Zone. On the left side of the device(s), a colored line will appear matching the Zone color (default: blue).

  • To configure the Zone, access the Zone Settings by clicking on the Zone MenuZoneMenuIcon.png and Open Settings.

    Master allows you set a specific device as the Sampling Rate and Frame Size master.
    The Master device will be displayed with a crown icon ASIO-Master.png
    Sampling Rate let you choose if the Zone Master is the sampling rate master, or a specific sampling rate. All devices in the zone (including the Zone Master) will follow the sampling rate.
    Frame Size let you choose if the Zone Master is the frame size master, or a specific frame size. All devices in the zone (including the Zone Master) will follow the frame size.
    Note: Depending on the devices configuration, very low frame sizes like AES67(6) or (12) may cause drops in the connection.

How to delete a Zone

Access the Zone Settings by clicking on the Zone MenuZoneMenuIcon.png and select Delete Zone.

How to remove all connections

Access the Devices settings by clicking on the Device MenuZoneMenuIcon.png and select Clear All Connections.

How to remove connections on a specific zone

Access the Zone Settings by clicking on the Zone MenuZoneMenuIcon.png and select Clear Connections.

How to remove grey / ghost devices

Devices that are no longer present are greyed out, but remains displayed in the Devices / World view.
To remove such device, click on its Pin icon in the devices view. The device will be immediately removed from the World view, and will remain in the Device view until you refresh the browser page.
Note: a device in a Zone cannot be unpinned. Please first remove it from the zone and if you want to unpin it.

 

Collapse / Un-collapse Devices View and Matrix

The Devices View can be collapsed and un-collapsed by using its icon in the top left corner DevicesViewIcon.png

The Matrix View can be collapsed and un-collapsed by using its icon in the top right corner MatrixViewIcon.png

 

How to identify the PTP Master device

The PTP Master device is displayed with a clock icon PTPClockMasterIcon.png

How to identify the Zone Master device

The Zone Master device is displayed with a crown icon CrownIcon.png
If the Zone Master that was previously set is missing, the crown icon will be greyed out in the Zone bar CrownIconMissingMaster3.png

How to identify the different networks / subnets

The different networks / subnets are now identified with a letter displayed next to the device (A,B, ...)
It is also displayed in the Info pane, next to the device IP.
