Updating Windows 7 to Windows 10 for MassCore

The Update process from Windows 7 to Windows 10 is not reliable, and has failed quite often.
Merging recommends you rather perform a clean Windows 10 installation.
If you still want to perform the Windows 7 to Windows 10 upgrade, you may follow the procedure below, but at your own risk !


To be sure to update to a Windows 10 version compatible with MassCore. Please refer to this page for the latest information 

Merging recommends you do a backup of your important datas before such upgrade !

  • Download the proper Microsoft Windows 10 x64 Update:

    For Pyramix v11.0.6 HotFix - Ovation v11.0.6 HotFix:
    Windows 10 1709 Fall Creators Update ISO (x64)
    Download from here

    For Pyramix v12.0.5  and higher
    Windows 10 1909 November 2020 Update ISO (x64)
    Download from here

  • Double click on this tool on your Windows 7 computer to run it.

  1. If Windows Updates are configured to download or notify to download, it will first ask to update your Windows 7, please select "Not right now"
  2. Accept the licence terms
  3. Select Upgrade this PC now
  4. Depending on your Windows version / Windows Product Key, you may need to enter a Windows 10 activation key.
  5. Once the Windows 10 is ready to be deployed on your computer, you can configure if you want to keep your files.

    Click on Install, the computer will need to restart several times to install Windows 10


Merging highly recommends you Defer the Windows updates.
