Windows - Corrupted .cab file errors and expired certificates

If in Windows, any version, you experience corrupted .cab file errors or if you're getting error messages regarding, or are having problems with, expired or non-updated certificates (if you're for instance are working on a computer that doesn't have any internet connection and doesn't get regular Windows updates), then you need to download and install this certificate updater to get the Windows installer up and running again:

http://download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/rootsupd.exe

http://download.merging.com/beta/SupportTools/Temp/rootsupd.exe

Download the and install the certificate updater, then re-install the installer you had problems with again.
