Here is how to access the Cisco SG300-10 & SG300-20 Switch's Web - Administration page.

Please note that this only applies if you are accessing the router for the 1st time.

If you load one of our configuration files, the ip address for the admin page is 169.254.1.254
and the default user name and password is cisco

If you are doing this without one of our config files then follow this guide.
  1. Plug a network cable to the router/switch and to your pccomputer.
  2. Make sure Set your computer haves a to use an IP configuration in the 192.168.1.x network address pool.

    The Cisco routers/switch's come with a default

    Default IP: 192.168.1.254
    In order for your computer


    to communicate with

    it, it will also require it to be in that same address pool, that can be changed in the
    routers

  3. Open a navigator page to navigate to: http://192.168.1.254

    After the login it will prompt, you will be asked to to change that default password to whatever you want.
    It is recommended to do so. Enter whatever user name and password you want.
    After setting this up, it will probably ask you for a reboot (if it does not, reboot it manually).
    After reboot, and you will have to login with the new user name and password you just setup.
     a required step and the first one into securing you're router/switch, it is also a one time step only.

    After the default is changed, if you wish to change it again it you will have to do that in the Administration page.
    Reseting the switch to "factory defaults" that will also ask you to do this step again.

  4. The Administration page will now load and you cant start configuring your switch.
