Important Notes

Intermediate Updates:

  • In some cases, updating to the latest firmware version may require performing one or more intermediate firmware updates.

  • For example, if your current firmware version is 1.5.7, you will need to need to update to v1.6.2 or v1.6.3, before finally upgrading to the latest version (v1.7.0).

  • Please refer to the above diagram to find the recommended upgrade path for your case

Firmware updates can introduce new features, improve performance, and enhance security. However, there is always a slight risk associated with any software update. We recommend backing up your configuration file before proceeding with the update, as explained here.

Manual update - General Steps:

  1. Check the current firmware version:

    • Determine the current firmware version installed on your device by tapping on “Settings → Info” on the main UI, or navigate to the “System tab” in the advanced pages

  2. Download the firmware update:

    • Download the latest device toolkit from this page, which also includes the FW update file.

    • Important: Ensure you download the correct firmware update file for your specific device model.

  3. Prepare for the update:

    • Make sure your device is connected to a reliable power source and consider up to 12 minutes for the whole process to be completed

  4. Initiate the update:

    • Access the update page of your device as explained in this page.

    • The update process will take some time. Do not power off the device nor interrupt the update process.

  5. Verify successful update:

    • After the update is complete, verify that the device is running the latest firmware version.
