MassCore RTX64 license activation

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Once your RTX64 license is activated, Merging highly recommends you make a backup of your RTX64 license file (RTX64.lic).
RTX64.lic is located in C:/ProgramData/IntervalZero.  
If you don’t see this folder, go in Windows Control Panel – Folder Options – View tab, and activate the Show hidden files, folders and drives option. 

For RTX dongle (SSK-HUD-RTX) users : a computer can use several RTX64 licenses (1 RTX dongle plugged at a time).
You need to use the Import license feature for each license .lic file to aggregate all the licenses in one computer.
One dongle can host several RTX64 licenses, even from different versions (RTX64-2013, RTX64-2014,...)

Since PMX V11/ Ovation V7, MassCore users running a RAID configuration must use a dedicated RTX dongle (SSK-HUD-RTX) to authorize MassCore.
This issue only affects the system (Windows ) RAID drives, if you have RAID Data drives, a dedicated dongle is not required.

Please select a Licensing scenario:







1.Activating MassCore - RTX 64 License – MT Security with an internet connection 

If you are connected to the internet, the activation of your RTX 64 license will be automatic during the MassCore installation



2.Activating MassCore - RTX 64 License – MT Security without an internet connection 

If the computer on which you installed RTX64 is not connected to the Internet, you will get an activation error message at the end of the installation. 
The activation process requires a few additional steps.

  1. Open the Activation and Configuration dialog from Start > All Programs > RTX64 3.x Runtime or IntervalZero RTX64 2013 Runtime > Activation and Configuration

  2. RTX64 3.4 and above: Select "Activate with a fingerprint file"
    All versions: Enter your RTX64 activation key and then click Activate.
    Your RTX64 activation key can be found in MT Security Panel – MassCore tab.
    NOTE: If you enter an invalid activation key, you will not know until you attempt to generate a license file in Step 10.

  3. In the dialog that appears, click Yes to create a fingerprint file.
     

  4. In the Save As dialog, name the file fingerprint.rfp. By default, the file will be saved to the desktop.

  5. Navigate to the desktop, and then copy and paste the file fingerprint.rfp to an external device.
  6. Connect the device to a machine with Internet connectivity.

  7. Launch a web browser, and navigate to http://Activation.IntervalZero.com

  8. Browse for and open the file fingerprint.rfp.
  9. Read and agree with the Terms & Conditions.
  10. Click Activate to generate a license (.lic) file.
  11. In the File Download dialog, click Save.
  12. Copy the file License.lic to the external device, and transfer it to the machine on which RTX64 is installed.
  13. RTX64 3.4 and above: select Activate with a license file.
    All versions: In the Product Activation dialog, click Import License.
     

  14. Browse for and open the file License.lic.

  15. You can now close the Activation and Configuration panel, and restart the computer, using the MassCore boot line.



3.Activating MassCore - RTX 64 Dongle License already activated 

You did get a RTX dongle (SSK-HUD-RTX) with your license already activated by Merging.
During the installation, if you are connected to the internet, you may get a message from RTX64, saying that it is not authorized, and that your activation key has already been used.
If you are not connected to the internet, you will get no error message. 

  1. Plug the SSK-HUD-RTX dongle on the second computer the MassCore / RTX64 installer should automatically install its driver.

  2. Open the Activation and Configuration dialog. This dialog appears once RTX64 has been installed.

    You can also launch it from Start > All Programs > RTX64 3.x Runtime or IntervalZero RTX64 2013 Runtime > Activation and Configuration.
  3. Make sure the Activation and Configuration utility shows a dongle icon.
    If the dongle is not recognized, make sure it is securely connected to your machine.
    Proceed only once you see the Dongle Active icon.
  4. RTX64 3.4 and above: select Activate with a license file.
    All versions: In the Product Activation dialog, click Import License.
  5. Browse for and open the file SSK-HUD-RTX_SerialNumber.lic you received with the activated dongle.
    NOTE: The license is locked to the dongle. The dongle must be connected when you start the machine in order to use RTX64 components.

  6. You can now close the Activation and Configuration panel, and restart the computer, using the standard Windows 7 boot line.
    Open the RTX64 Control Panel, from Start > All Programs > RTX64 3.x Runtime or IntervalZero RTX64 2013 Runtime > RTX64 Control Panel.
    You should see that RTX64 is now activated, with a dongle. (See dongle icon). 
     

  7. Restart now the computer with MassCore boot line, and configure VS3 Control Panel, as described in Pyramix installation guide.




4.Activating MassCore - RTX 64 License - RTX 64 Dongle License on another computer 

You want to activate MassCore RTX64 on another computer, using RTX 64 Dongle (SSK-HUD-RTX).

  1. On the computer that already have your RTX64 license activated, go in C:/ProgramData/IntervalZero
    If you don’t see this folder, go in Windows Control Panel – Folder Options – View tab, and activate the Show hidden files, folders and drives option.
  2. Plug the SSK-HUD-RTX dongle on the second computer the MassCore / RTX64 installer should automatically install its driver.

  3. Open the Activation and Configuration dialog. This dialog appears once RTX64 has been installed.

    You can also launch it from Start > All Programs > RTX64 3.x Runtime or IntervalZero RTX64 2013 Runtime > Activation and Configuration.
  4. Make sure the Activation and Configuration utility shows a dongle icon.
    If the dongle is not recognized, make sure it is securely connected to your machine.
    Proceed only once you see the Dongle Active icon.
  5. RTX64 3.4 and above: select Activate with a license file.
    All versions: In the Product Activation dialog, click Import License.
  6. Browse for and open the file SSK-HUD-RTX_SerialNumber.lic you received with the activated dongle.
    NOTE: The license is locked to the dongle. The dongle must be connected when you start the machine in order to use RTX64 components.

  7. You can now close the Activation and Configuration panel, and restart the computer, using the standard Windows 7 boot line.
    Open the RTX64 Control Panel, from Start > All Programs > RTX64 3.x Runtime or IntervalZero RTX64 2013 Runtime > RTX64 Control Panel.
    You should see that RTX64 is now activated, with a dongle. (See dongle icon). 

  8. Restart now the computer with MassCore boot line, and configure VS3 Control Panel, as described in Pyramix installation guide.



5.Activating MassCore - RTX 64 License - RTX 64 Dongle License not activated 

You did get a RTX dongle (SSK-HUD-RTX) without license activated, and MassCore - RTX64 has not yet been activated on your computer.

  1. Plug the SSK-HUD-RTX dongle on the second computer the MassCore / RTX64 installer should automatically install its driver.
  2. Open the Activation and Configuration dialog. This dialog appears once RTX64 has been installed.  You can also launch it from Start > All Programs > RTX64 3.x Runtime or IntervalZero RTX64 2013 Runtime > Activation and Configuration.
  3. Make sure the Activation and Configuration utility shows a dongle icon.
    If the dongle is not recognized, make sure it is securely connected to your machine.
    Proceed only once you see the Dongle Active icon.

  4. RTX64 3.4 and above: select Activate over the network.
    All versions: Enter your RTX64 activation key and then click Activate.
    Your RTX64 activation key can be found in MT Security Panel – MassCore tab.

  5. IF YOU ARE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET: You will see that your RTX64 license is now activated, on your RTX dongle.NOTE: The license is locked to the dongle. The dongle must be connected when you start the machine in order to use RTX64 components.
    IF YOU ARE NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET : see the fingerprint procedure as described here.

  6. Restart now the computer with MassCore boot line, and configure VS3 Control Panel, as described in Pyramix installation guide.



6. Transferring a MassCore - RTX 64 License already activated from MT Security to RTX dongle

If you are RTX64 license has already been activated without a RTX dongle (SSK-HUD-RTX), and you want to transfer this license to such dongle, your license will need to be reset.

7. Re-activating a RTX 64 License already used 

If you need to re-activate your license, for example if you changed your computer or your system hard drive, your license will need to be reset.

Please note that a RTX64 license can only be activated on one computer at a time, unless you are using the RTX64 dongle (SSK-HUD-RTX)
