MERGING ANUBIS

Requirements

  • A MERGING ANUBIS connected to your system (Mac or Windows)

  • A valid product license key code.  

  • The latest Anubis Firmware version (Anubis firmware 1.4.x minimum)

  • An Internet connection

  • One of the following Merging Technologies application:
    Merging Audio Device (v2.1 or above)
    Virtual Audio Device (v3.2 or above)
    Aneman (v1.5 or above) (required for MassCore users)
    MTDiscovery (installed along MAD or VAD)

     

Activate a License

  1. Connect your MERGING ANUBIS to your system

  2. Open one of Merging’s applications: MAD, VAD, ANEMAN or MTDiscovery.

  3. Right click on the discovered Anubis icon and select Launch License Manager 

  4. This will open the Merging License Manager from which you can enter the activation key of the Product feature you wish to activate.

  5. Enter the license key code you have received for the Product Feature.
    The licenses can have two different formats:
    - XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-X (can be with or without the dashes)
    - 533301234567890123 (starts with 5333)
    Enter the license code in the activation field and press the Activate entry line.

  6. This will activate the Product Feature and make it available on that specific Anubis.
    A License is valid message will be displayed.

    Note: A given activation key code can only be activated on one Anubis at the time.
    You can Release a License to activate this one onto another Anubis device at any time

 

Release a License

  1. Connect the Anubis hosting the license you want to release on your system

  2. Open one of Merging’s applications: MAD, VAD, ANEMAN or MTDiscovery.

  3. Right click on the discovered Anubis icon and select Launch License Manager

  4. This will open the Merging License Manager from which you can enter the activation key of the Product feature you wish to activate.

  5. Simply press the Release License entry.

    The license has been released and can now be activated on another device.

    Tip: If you click on an activated license, you can copy the Activation key and the License information to your clipboard.

Retrieving on which device a license has been activated

This procedure is only valid for Merging Cloud licensing, not for Sennheiser Cloud licensing.

If you need to retrieve on which device a specific license has been activated.

  1. Open a web browser and go to QLM Self Help123

  2. Click on Get license information

  3. Enter the license key code  (It should look as such XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-X) and press OK.

  4. The license type is displayed, and the device serial number is displayed under Computer Identifier.

VIRTUAL AUDIO DEVICE (Mac)

The Merging Virtual Audio Device is intended for owners of a network interface hardware RAVENNA / AES67 compatible who wish to work under Mac OS.

  • As of VAD 3.1, a license key is required for Standard operations, and a new Premium key can be purchased.

  • As of VAD 3.5, Sennheiser license key is supported, for purchased VAD versions (Standard or Premium), meaning for users without a Merging or Neumann interface.
    The key authorization must be entered from the Merging License Manager (MLM) from your Discovered System (mac).

    Tab Sennheiser is for license codes starting with serials 5333

    Tab Merging is for any licenses not starting with serials 5333

  • The Virtual Audio Device will run in Premium mode automatically for owners of at least Merging Horus, Hapi or Anubis who wish to work under Mac OS. It requires at least one Merging device to be detected over the network.

  • As of VAD 3.6, the Virtual Audio Device will run in Premium mode automatically for owners of Neumann KH Monitor (AES67). It requires at least one Neumann KH Monitor Speaker to be detected over the network.

  • The Non-Merging Devices RAVENNA or AES67 owners will need to purchase either a VAD standard or Premium key to operate. Once the key has been purchased it must be entered in MLM as per the procedure below.

Requirements

  • Either

    • A MERGING Interface (Anubis, Hapi, Horus) connected in RAVENNA/AES67 to your system running the latest Anubis Firmware version (Anubis firmware 1.4.x minimum)
      OR

    • A valid product license key code, for Non-Merging Interface Owners.
      Important: In such case a RAVENNA or AES67 compatible network interface must be connected to the system (macOS) and be running in order to activate the VAD license.
      For Merging licenses, VAD 3.2 (or above) is required.
      For Sennheiser licenses, VAD 3.5 (or above) is required

  • An Internet connection

  • Virtual Audio Device (v3.2 or above).

Procedure

  • Connect your MERGING interface (Anubis, Hapi or Horus) to your system and it will automatically pass the VAD to Premium mode.

  • For Non-Merging Interface owners 
    Make sure you have a Network interface connected to your system.

  1. Open the System Preferences > Merging RAVENNA/AES67 Settings.

  2. Right click on the discovered SYSTEM discovered icon and select Launch License Manager
    (if you do not see the SYSTEM icon in Network Discovery, make sure you have followed the Configuration Guide for your OS version)

  3. This will open the Merging License Manager from which you can enter the VAD key you wish to activate.

  4. Select the Sennheiser Licensing or Merging Licensing tab, depending on your license code.
    Tab Sennheiser is for license codes starting with serials 5333

    Tab Merging is for any licenses not starting with serials 5333

  5. Enter the key code you have received for the VAD Standard or Premium feature. It should look as such XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-X
    Enter this code in the activation field and press the Activate entry line.

  6. This will activate the Product Feature and make it available on that specific Mac computer.
    A License is valid message will be displayed.

Note: do not launch the mlmApp from the Applications > Merging Technologies > MLM folder.

 

 

MERGING AUDIO DEVICE (Windows)

As of MAD 2.5, Sennheiser license key is supported, for MAD Infrastructure Pack authorization.
MAD Infrastructure Pack can be authorized in 3 different ways:

  • Merging Dongle (Safenet) in the MT Security Panel (not possible on Virtual Machines)

  • Merging Cloud License in the MT Security Panel.

  • Sennheiser Cloud License, in the Merging License Manager (MLM).


Requirements

  • Merging Audio Device Driver installed
    Version 2.5 (or above) mandatory for Sennheiser Licenses.

  • Merging Security Server installed
    If you already have Merging Software installed (e.g. Pyramix, Ovation,…) the Security Server is already installed.
    Version 15 (or above) mandatory for Sennheiser Licenses.
    If you already have Merging Software installed the Security Server version should be V15 (or above) (e.g. Pyramix v15, Ovation v11,…)

  • An Internet connection

  • A MERGING Interface (Anubis, Hapi, Horus) connected in RAVENNA/AES67 to your system.


Procedure

For Merging dongle and Merging Cloud licenses, please follow the authorization procedure described on this page.

Merging Cloud licensing is for any licenses not starting with serials 5333
Sennheiser Cloud licensing is for license codes starting with serials 5333

  • Start the Merging License Manager (MLM) from Windows Start menu > Merging Technologies.
    Alternatively, you can also right click on the ASIO device in the Merging Audio Device panel or MT Discovery and select Launch License Manager.
    This will open the Merging License Manager from which you can enter the activation key.

  • Enter the key code you have received for the MAD Infrastructure Pack.
    It should look as such 5333-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-X (can be with or without the dashes)
    Enter this code in the activation field and press the Activate entry line.

  • This will activate the Product Feature and make it available on that specific Windows computer or VM.
    A License is valid message will be displayed.

 

PYRAMIX - OVATION

Since Pyramix 15 - Ovation 11, the Merging License Manager can also be used to authorize the software.

How to access the Merging License Manager

  • Audio Interfaces
    Plug your device on your system, open one of Merging’s applications: MAD, VAD, ANEMAN or MTDiscovery and right click on the device to select Launch License Manager.

  • Windows Software (Pyramix, Ovation, MAD)
    Launch the Merging License Manager from Windows Start Menu > Merging Technologies > Merging License Manager.

  • Audio Drivers (MAD, VAD)
    Open the MAD or VAD panel, right click on the ASIO (MAD-Windows) or CoreAudio (VAD-Mac) icon and select Launch License Manager.

 

 

Troubleshooting

  • Failed to contact Merging License Server

    Verify your internet connection, it is required when activating or releasing a license.
    Note : If several gateways are active on several network adapters, the License server will not be able to connect properly.  Please don't use more than 1 gateway when activating / deactivating the license.

  • Activation Failed - The license has already been activated

    The license you are trying to activate is already in use.
    You can see the device serial number on which it is currently activated on Computer ID (in case you would need to release it).

  • Activation Failed - The license key is invalid

    The activation key code entered is not correct, please check your activation key code (the activation key code can be entered with or without the dash "-" sign)
    The activation key code entered does not match the license type (e.g. the activation key code you have entered is not for this Product Feature , but for another plugin or mission).

  • It seems like you are trying to activate a trial license but the date on your device is not correct.

    The Merging License Manager has detected that your device is not set on the correct date.
    In order to activate a Trial license, the date must be set properly.

  • Activation Failed - The device date is wrong

    You are trying to activate a Trial license, but the device date is not correct.
    Please let the Merging License Manager set the date, or set the date manually on your device.

  • Activation Failed - Failed to query device's current date

    The Merging License Manager cannot get the device date.
    Please reboot the device and relaunch the Merging License Manager.

  • Activation Failed - The activation key corresponds to a different product

    The key you have entered doesn’t match the product, please make sure you have entered the key for the required option.
