No connection between MERGING+NADAC and the computer
Problem
MERGING+NADAC and your computer do not seem to be connected.
Solution
- Make sure your MERGING+NADAC is connected to your computer, preferably directly on the computer onboard gigabit network adapter.
Nowadays computers are equipped with gigabit network adapters, but some network routers may still be equipped with 10/100 Mbps adapters.
That is the reason why the first test is to connect MERGING+NADAC directly on the computer. - The network cable must be CAT5E or CAT6. That information is usually written on the cable.
Please use the network cable that is included in MERGING+NADAC accessories box. - First connect the network cable between MERGING+NADAC and your computer, and only then start both devices.
On the computer & on MERGING+NADAC : the LED next to the network connector should be blinking.
(except for Apple Thunderbolt to LAN adapter, which has no built-in LED, only check MERGING+NADAC network connector)
If LEDs are not blinking, it means the physical connection is not working.
Use another network cable (CAT5E or CAT6)
If with another cable, the physical connection is still not working, please contact your Sales partner.
For this test, MERGING+NADAC should be the only network device plugged on your computer, to avoid IP addresses conflict.
- On MERGING+NADAC display, on the main page, long push the rotary button to access the menu.
Browse to Setup and push the rotary button.
Browse to Network and push the rotary button.
Make sure IP Settings is set to Auto
If you need to change from Manual to Auto, the MERGING+NADAC must be restarted to apply this modification. If your Network speed is not 1.0 Gbps (Windows) 1 Gbit/s (MacOs), you cannot use MERGING+NADAC in this configuration, as RAVENNA Network requires 1 Gbps.
You may add a dedicated Gigabit network card or a Gigabit network switch. See this page for Gigabit network switch configuration. Now start the MERGING+NADAC panel :
On your Mac, access the System Preferences by clicking on the Apple icon on the top left corner, and in Other open the MERGING+NADAC icon.
On your Windows, depending on the driver installed, open Windows Start Menu - All Programs > Merging Technologies > Merging Ravenna ASIO Driver > NADAC Panel (Win7 / Win10)

You should see the MERGING+NADAC in the RAVENNA Devices part:Tip: If you hold the mouse cursor over the MERGING+NADAC device, you will get its name, its address and its state.
If MERGING+NADAC still does not show up in the NADAC panel:

If you still can't get any audio connection between MERGING+NADAC and your computer, you may need to disable the firewall for the MERGING+NADAC connection.
MERGING+NADAC drivers have been designed to work with the Windows or MacOS built-in firewalls.
However, some antivirus may take control of the built-in firewalls, or use their own.
To disable the built-in firewall :If disabling the firewall solved your issue, you may want to add Firewall exceptions for your MERGING+NADAC application, so you can have it enabled.
If you are using an additional antivirus or firewall, like Norton, McAfee, Avast,... please refer to its documentation and website to temporary disable it, or to allow the audio player software through such Firewall.
Please see this page for Firewall configuration.
If you use the Merging Audio Device driver, please open its panel
