Merging License Manager (MLM) for Pyramix-Ovation

Requirements

• Pyramix 15.0 / Ovation 11.0 (or above) installed on your Windows computer

• A valid product license key code.

Activate a License

1. Start the Merging License Manager Application, through Windows Start Menu > Merging Technologies.
   Alternatively, you can also use Windows search by entering Merging License Manager.

2. Enter the key code you have received for the required product, Pyramix, Ovation and/or MassCore.
   It should look as such XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXX (can be with or without the dashes)
   Enter this code in the activation field and press the Activate entry line.

   Open

   

3. This will activate the Product Feature and make it available on that specific computer.
   A License is valid message will be displayed.

   Open

   

   Note: A given activation key code can only be activated on one computer at the time.
   You can Release a License to activate this one onto another computer device at any time

Release a License

1. Start the Merging License Manager Application, through Windows Start Menu > Merging Technologies.
   Alternatively, you can also use Windows search by entering Merging License Manager.

2. Simply press the Release License button for the License you want to release.

   Open

   

   The license has been released and can now be activated on another device.
   
   

Install MassCore Runtime with Merging License Manager keys

1. Start the Merging License Manager Application, through Windows Start Menu > Merging Technologies.
   Alternatively, you can also use Windows search by entering Merging License Manager.

2. Enter the key code you have received for Pyramix or Ovation and MassCore.
   It should look as such XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXX (can be with or without the dashes)
   Enter this code in the activation field and press the Activate entry line.

3. Open the MT Security Settings Application, through Windows Start Menu > Merging Technologies.
   Alternatively, you can also use Windows search by entering MT Security Settings.

4. Go in the MassCore tab, and click on Install MassCore RunTime
   Note: The Serial Number will display N/A for MassCore licenses entered with Merging License Manager.

Flux VS3 Plugins

With the release of Pyramix 15, Flux Plugins will no longer be included in any software pack for new customers. If you are purchasing Pyramix for the first time, Flux Verb and Studio will not be integrated by default.
However, existing users upgrading from a previous version via ASM can continue using Flux Verb and Studio. While these plugins will remain functional, they will not be adapted to the new graphical enhancements.
You will still be able to update them via the Flux Centre when new versions become available.

Currently, Flux VS3 plugins can only be authorized with Safenet dongle or Cloud licensing, but not with the Merging License Manager
Please note that owners of other VS3 Flux Plugin Packs will now require iLok authentication to be recognized and function properly. This transition scheme will be provided free of charge.

This change ensures compatibility while maintaining a seamless transition for long-time users upgrading to Pyramix 15.

Troubleshooting

• Activaton Failed - Host can’t be resolved

  Verify your internet connection, it is required when activating or releasing a license.
  Note : If several gateways are active on several network adapters, the License server will not be able to connect properly.  Please don't use more than 1 gateway when activating / deactivating the license.
  
  

• Activation Failed - Number of Allowed Activations exceeded

  Open

  

  The license you are trying to activate is already in use.
  You will have to release it on the other device to be able to activate it on your current device.
  
  

• Activation Failed - Invalid License Number

  Open

  

  The activation key code entered is not correct, please check your activation key code (the activation key code can be entered with or without the dash "-" sign)
  The activation key code entered does not match the license type (e.g. the activation key code you have entered is not for this Product Feature , but for another product).
  
  

• Activation Failed - License backtimed

  Open

  

  The Merging License Manager has detected that your device is not set on the correct date.
  In order to activate the license, the date must be set properly on your device.
  
  

• Invalid License: Device id does not match

  Open

  

  The Device id does not match anymore with the one at the time the license was activated.
  This can happen if the device date and time is not correct, if you have cloned your computer drive to a new one, …

• No products listed - no products available error message
  The information stored on your computer might be corrupted.
  Please go in Windows Task Manager > Services tab and stop Merging Technologies Security Server (MTSSrv)
  Browse to C:\ProgramData and rename (or delete) the Nalpeiron folder (To view the ProgramData folder, Hidden items option must be active in Windows Explorer - View tab).
  Go back in Windows Task Manager > Services tab and restart the Merging Technologies Security Server (MTSSrv)
  Start the Merging License Manager and enter you keys.

Is an internet connection required to activate or deactivate a license ?

The device hosting the licenses is no longer working, how can I use the licenses on another device ?

How frequently should the computer, which hosts the licenses, be connected to the internet, for the licenses to remain active ?
