Ethernet_input_wrong_sequence Error

The “ethernet_input_wrong_sequence Error” may be normal, depending on your workflow, as it simply indicates that one of your device receivers (sinks) has momentarily stopped receiving its stream. This could simply be caused by the streamer booting after the Anubis, for example.

In this short article we will look into how to determine if this error only accurace on the setup or if it is due to a configuration problem.

The notification was added to indicate that a stream has been interrupted.  This is so to detect realtime operations network dropouts. Meaning that if you see this error when rebooting or reconnecting the Anubis you should not worry and clear it

Troubleshooting

The error appears when you turn on your setup

Try to clear the error in Aneman and see if it reappears.

If the error occures again while everything is correctly configured and should be stable (devices at the same sample rate, etc.), check the point below.

The error appears at random times, generates clicks / drop or RTP errors

Most of the time, sudden stream disconnections are due to network configuration. Check your network adapter configuration using the guide below :

Check that no options such as "Green Ethernet", "Power Saving", etc. are activated in the adapter properties.
