Setup
Open MTDiscovery and locate your compatible device, right click on it, then select “Open advanced page”:
In the “HOME” tab, enter the IP:PORT of your Lawo HOME server (or server cluster), and click on “Enable”
In case you want to specify a HOME cluster it will be enough separating each <ip>:<port> combination with “;” (e.g.: 169.254.200.100:4222;169.254.1.222:4223).
Please be aware that your device will not be connected to all the HOME servers at the same time, but will use the server entry as list, and in case a server connection fails, it will try with the next one, cycling on such list.
Once Registered shows “everything ok” you’ll find your device in HOME Device tab
To disconnect your Merging device from Lawo HOME, you can uncheck the “Enable” checkbox

Before proceeding to sink routing, a stream has to be connected to the newly created sink. Go to “Stream routing” and connect the desired stream:
Once done, it’s possible to route the stream channels to physical outputs by clicking on “I/O Routing”, select the channels, and click on “Connect” setup the sink
To setup more parameters of the sink. please refer to the device “advanced page”
How to setup a internal routing in HOME
In the device tab of HOME there’s “I/O Routing” next to “Receivers” that allows to route inputs with outputs, not limited to IP->Physical or Physical->IP but also Physical->Physical (for ZMAN-based devices)
Known limitations
The flexibility of HOME UI may imply that certain operations are achievable in Merging devices. However, because HOME has a general-purpose design, certain actions are restricted due to the features or constraints of Merging devices.
It’s not possible to patch virtual inputs with virtual outputs in Anubis or Hapi MKII
In Horus/Hapi MKI, when setting up a source, it’s not possible to disconnect the input card (every source must always have an input)
In Horus/Hapi MKI, when setting up a source/sink, all the physical channels must belong to the same I/O card and be contiguous
In Horus/Hapi MKI internal routing is not supported in HOME, please make reference to Merging’s UI
(Setup → Routing)Windows is not responding in time to IGMP queries so the switch removes Masscore from the Multicast Group. Due to Windows reaction time, you might have to extend your switch IGMP timings.
